There is no such temple in India today, the mystery associated with which has not become the subject of discussion of the people.

Today we will talk about the secret of such a temple, about which you will be surprised to hear.  The pilgrimage of Char Dham is considered to be of great importance in Hinduism. Today we will discuss the secret of the Jagganath temple present in Puri, situated on the edge of Odisha, one of these four Dhams. 

This temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Along with this, idols of Lord Balabhadra and his sister Goddess Subhadra are also situated here. Every year lakhs of devotees gather here and participated in Rath Yatra.

Jagannath Puri’s Rath yatra is the world biggest Rath Yatra of the world. So, People from all over the country come here to visit this 800-year-old temple.  Today we are going to give information about some such mysteries related to this temple, whose truth has not been known till date. 

According to the Puranas, the Jaggannath temple is considered to be the Vaikunth of the earth. Because here the reincarnation of Vishnu, Lord Krishna is still seated. The people of Sabar tribe consider Lord Jagannath as their deity, so the form of Lord Vishnu here is slightly different than in other temples. 

1. Flag of the Jagannath Temple’s peak:

The most mysterious thing related to this temple is that this flag on the top of this temple always flutters in the opposite direction of the wind. Usually the wind blows from sea to land, and at night from land to sea.  But it is normal to be surprised to know this because here this process is reversed.  Now why this is so, no one knows about this mystery. 

The flag of any temple in India is not changed daily, but Jagannath temple is the only temple whose flag is changed daily. Because it is such a belief that if its flag is not changed even for a day, then the temple will be closed for 18 years. And the practice of changing this flag daily has been going on for 1800 years.

2. No sound of sea inside Jagannath Temple:

This temple of Lord Shri Krishna is built on the shore of the sea, but no one can hear the sound of the waves of sea inside the temple. But as soon as one steps ahead from the temple, the sound of ocean waves can be heard.  Every place of this temple is associated with some mystery.

3. No formation of Temple’s shadow on Earth:

This temple of Lord Shri Krishna is 65 meters long and it covers a huge area of ​​the Puri. But the special thing about this temple is that no shadow of any kind falls on the ground. No matter where the temple is looked at at any time or direction, no trace of the shadow of the temple is found. And this is quite surprising.

4. Never lack of Prasad or Holy Offering in the temple:

It is believed that no matter how many devotees come to the temple for visit, but it has no effect on the quantity of holy offerings or Prasad. It is a belief that any number of people can be fed food with the blessings of Lord Jagannath. Also, the prasad cooked inside the temple never diminishes. Apart from this, wasting food is not considered appropriate in Hinduism.

However, the specialty of cooking here also surprises the devotees. Because here seven earthen pots are placed on top of each other, and the top pot cooks the food quickly. It is said that the offerings of Lord Jagannath’s temple end when the doors of the temple are closed. 


5. The mystery of Sudarshan Chakra:

Sudarshan Chakra is considered to be the most important weapon of Lord Vishnu. That is why a Sudarshan Chakra is installed on the top of this temple, which is called the Neel Chakra. This chakra is made of Ashtadhatu. Whose height is 11 feet.

But its special thing is that no matter where the devotee sees this chakra from any direction, its nature never changes. Here the wheel appears as if it is standing facing you. 

Also, the speical thing about this temple that not a single bird or plane has passed over Jagannath temple till date. And this is the biggest mystery till date.

6. Secrets of Jagganath Temple Treasures:

It is believed that the higher the height of Jagannath temple, the deeper the temple is from inside. In 2018, After the order of the Odisha High Court, a team of 16 members came here after 34 years for investigation amid tight security in the room of this temple’s treasure. However, those who had come to see its treasure in this temple, they were not allowed to touch any coffin and box.

And at the same time, the people who came to this temple had vowed not to tell any person outside about its treasure.  However, after this incident, there was talk of losing the key of the temple, which has not been found now. 

But it can be said that this temple is a storehouse of treasure. Because this temple has been taken care of by the pedios of many kings.
