Seven wonders of the world 2021

7 wonders of the modern world are the history of the world, which is famous for its special architectural styles. Apart from this, They have also made their name on the world heritage site basis on a survey conducted by the world organization UNESCO. Switzerland situated 7 wonders of a world organization is the one, which included these wonders in the world. 

1. Tajmahal, India: 

This wonder of love is a symbol of pride for India. It is a World Heritage Mausoleum located in Agra city of India near the Yamuna river, which was built by Mughal ruler Shah Jahan in memory of Mumtaz in 1643. It is a classic example of ancient Indian art. And, It is a  unique combination of Turkish, Indian, Persian, and Islamic components. In 1983, the Taj Mahal included into a World Heritage Site.

Every year in India, around 9 to 10 million people visit the Taj Mahal. It is said that the artisans who built the Taj Mahal had their hands chopped off.
Although, it is said that Shah Jahan cut the hand of workers, who had built Tajmahal. Because he did not want another architectural structure same as the Taj Mahal in the world. 

2. Great Wall of China:

This wall is also known as Wan-li Ch’ang-ch’eng in China. It is the fortification of clay and stoneware, which was constructed across the northern border to protecting the Chinese empire from invaders. The great wall of China built by many rulers from the 5th century to the 16th century, And it is estimated that 20 to 30 lakh people had given their lives to build this wall. This wall is 6400 kilometers long. 

Its vastness can be gauged from the fact that this man-made structure can also be seen from space. However, now some parts of it have broken due to normal disasters. But if all its parts are combined then its length will be less than 8000 km. And for the protection of this wall, more than 10 lakh Ming dynasty used to appoint army personnel.

However, in 1211 AD, Genghis Khan attacked this wall and broke it, and entered China.

Note – The Great wall of India is situated in the Udaipur, Rajasthan of India, which name is Kumbhalgarh, which fortified the Kumbhalgarh Fort. 

3. Machu Picchu, Peru: 

It is located in the South American country of Peru, it is a pre-Columbus era Inca civilization likely landmark on a 2,430-metre (7,970 ft) mountain ridge. It is believed that Machu Picchu was built as an estate for the Inca emperor Pachacuti in 1438–1472. Machu Picchu was included in the 7 wonders of the world by the organization and World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1983. 

It is famous for its dry-stone walls which play a role in astronomical alignments and panoramic views and situated on the Andes Mountains in Peru. Also, It is known as the Lost City of Inca civilization. 

4. The Colosseum, Rome: 

It is a Flavian Amphitheatre, which is situated in Rome, Italy. It is considered to be the best crest of Roman architecture and engineering. Its construction was started by Emperor Vespasian between 70 and 72 AD and completed by in 80 CE by Titus, Vespasian’s son.

This stadium is spread over 24000 square meters. In the Roman Empire, there were animal battles and games themselves and cultural events. This was the largest amphitheater ever built during that time and held 50,000 to 80,000 spectators.

Although its destruction has been done due to some natural distress, but this place is still seen due to such foliage. 

5. Christ the Redeemer:

Christ the Redeemer is considered a symbol of Rio de Janeiro and Brazil, situated on the Corcovado mountain. This is the fifth largest statue of Jesus in the world and the weight of this statue is 630 tonnes. It was created by French sculptor Paul Landowski and built by Brazilian engineer Heitor da Silva Costa from 1922 to 1931. Reinforce Concrete and soak Stone was used to make this statue.

Due to the height of the statue, lightning often falls on it. Although the governorship of Brazil takes care of this from time to time, that this idol should be safe.

6. Petra Jordan: 

Petra, a historic city inside the country of Jordan, was built by cutting red rocks and famous for the Water vehicle system. It was founded by Nabatean on the tour of his capital in the sixth century AD. It has a 1300 feet high temple, made of a sandy plateau, a water pond, and an open stadium.

Although the arrival of tourists from Jordan’s neighboring countries has reduced due to Iraq, but this place is still very important for Jordan. Petra is one of the oldest metros in the world and has also been a part of the Roman Empire.

7. Chichen Itza, Mexico: 

It was a large city built by the Mayan civilization in the pre-Columbus era. The site showcases a variety of architectural styles like the Mexican style. It is a pyramid, known as El Castillo or Temple of Kukulcan, which was built from 600 A.D. to the 1200s. 

Chichen Itza is a city spread in the area of 5 km, where pyramids temples and playgrounds have been built. There are 365 stairs, including the four corners of a pyramid, which are considered to be 1 year old. Apart from it, there is an astronomical observatory of that time. In 2007, Switzerland’s New 7 Wonder Foundation also included it in its list.

Additional –  Leaning Tower of Pisa: 

This is not listed in the category of 7 wonders of the world this year. But it is also a masterpiece, which is situated in Pisa, Italy, which is a campanile and cathedral of the Italian city of Pisa and constructed by construct by Bonanno Pisano and Romanesque in 1173 – 1372.

However, This wall was built by the Pisa people to make the Florence people look inferior. Although 12 years after the construction of the tower started, it was known that it is getting crooked by 5 degrees, but by then its 3 floors had been built. It took 200 years to build this tower.

Its construction started in 1173 and this bunker was finished in 1373. There are 294 steps in this tower. In 1987, this tower was included in the World Heritage Site by UNESCO.  Although this tower was also closed for 11 years for fear of falling but in 2001 it was reopened for tourism.
